CSMC Attends 2011 China IC Expo and holds a Seminar in Shenzhen
2011-07-01
Wuxi, Jiangsu, China, June 28, 2011- The 2011 China IC Expo was held in Shenzhen on June 28-29, 2011. In view of the experience of show in the last year, CSMC Technologies Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "CSMC"), a unit of China Resources Microelectronics Limited (hereinafter referred to as "CR Micro"), participated in the Expo this year. The Company intended to further enhancing communication with its customers of the Zhu Jiang delta region and mainland, and show its new progress of technology and Service.
This time CSMC has expanded the pavilion area and held "A Seminar on CSMC Meet the Hot of China Chip with Customers". The seminar attracted about 300 IC designers, systematic solutions suppliers, application terminal customers, technology partners and industrial chain partners from inland. Many Medias participated in the Seminar too.
In this seminar, Wilson Yu, the Vice President of CSMC for Design Service made a speech for Elvis Deng, CEO of CR Micro and the President of CSMC: Shenzhen is one of the most active area in China's semiconductor market. It has rich and quick information, and first class talented people and enterprises, and a unique marketing environment for business and competition. CSMC is glad to discuss matters of cooperation with craft brothers in Shenzhen. China has become the largest semiconductor market in the world. China semiconductor market has varied end products and needs. As Chinese Government determined the seven emerging strategic industries, China's fabless and foundry have a bigger space for innovation. Wilson Yu thanked attendees for their continued support and collaboration, and he said CSMC will provide the most competitive process to customers and help customers to produce best price valued products, so that both parties get a win-win result.
Xu Xiaotian, the Deputy Executive Director of China Semiconductor Industry Association (CSIA), attended the seminar and made a speech. He said semiconductor industry is the base for information technology and the seven emerging strategic industries. Chinese Government attaches great importance to the industry, and enacted various preferential policies. But these are external causes. If we expect semiconductor industry has a better development, we should make joint efforts to contribute to the industry. Integrating the enterprise resource is a focus in the twelfth five-year period. We need to think and work closely to seek solutions so as to build a nation team and provide valuable products for the market. He expects internal enterprises join hands with each other to promote the progress of semiconductor industry and make greater contribution to Nation Informatization.
At the seminar, CSMC explored market and chances of China's semiconductor application hotspots with attendees, and made a brief of CSMC's power management, design solution of LED driver process, design solution of power device process, design solution of smart consumer electronics process and key part of energy conservation and pollution reduction. Additionally, Kong Wen, the Analyst of Shenzhen Semiconductor Industry Association, was invited to deliver a wonderful speech.
At the seminar, CSMC and Shenzhen National Integrated Circuit Design Industrial Center (hereinafter referred to as "SZICC") held a plaque-awarding ceremony. Andy Chuang, the Vice President of CSMC for Marketing & Sales, awarded the plaque with the words of "Strategic Partner in Industry Chain" to Zhou Shengming, the Director of SZICC. This means that both parties will use the respective superiority to make great efforts to develop Shenzhen IC design industry from now on. Zhou Shengming said CSMC is first foundry in China, it created a new situation of domestic fabless. Under the aegis of CSMC, domestic fabless have sprung up like mushrooms after rain. More than half the Shenzhen fabless are CSMC's customers. They attach great importance to cooperate with CSMC. Zhou Shengming expects both parties build up strong relationships.
Present at the meeting were Wei Shaojun (the Deputy Director of CSIA and Professor of Tsinghua University), Jiang Shoulei (the vice president and the Secretary-General of SICA) and Cai Jinjiang (the Secretary-General of SZSIA).
