| A. Pre-Fabrication |
- The process begins when a Customer (IC design house) requests
Design Rules, PCM specifications and Spice Models for a certain
process from CSMC's R&D Divisions.
- The Customer develops the Database with the information
provided by CSMC.
- CSMC creates a Test Key and passes it to the Customer
designated mask maker, who then creates the mask according to
the Customer's database and CSMC's Test Key.
- After mask making is completed, CSMC's Quality Assurance
Department puts it through incoming inspection, and then it is
ready for Engineering Lot fabrication

| B. Engineering Lot |
- In the process of Engineering Lot fabrication, the Customer
and CSMC's R&D and Production Divisions work together very
closely. The Engineering Lot is checked and qualified according
to PCM Specs and Probe Yield Testing by both the Customer and
CSMC. Then, the Lot is ready for mass production.

| C. Mass Production |
- The Customer places the Mass Production order to
CSMC's Marketing & Sales Division. After completion, CSMC's
M & S Division delivers the products to the Customer. All
the while, CSMC continues to monitor and deliver according to
our Quality Policy .
